In the Parlor, we take to heart St. Paul's words to the Ephesians as we:
Make every effort to preserve the unity which has the Spirit as its binding force (4:3)
Never let evil talk pass our lips (4:29)
Do nothing that will sadden the Holy Spirit (4:30)
Get rid of bitterness, passion, anger, harsh words, slander and malice (4:31)
Are kind, compassionate, and mutually forgiving (4:32)
Profess the truth in love (4:15)
We also:
Keep our elbows off the table.
Hold our napkins over our mouths if we engage in laughter.
Engage in laughter.
We bring to share:
The fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faith and
chastity (Galatians 5:22-2).
We remember:
That Jesus Christ is Lord of this space on the Internet.
That any comments critical of our Lord or Christianity will be removed.
That this can be a place of encouragement, friendship, holiness.. and fun!
